Pinocchio the android wanted to be a real boy. It wanted real bones, blood, organs and skin, despite human fallibility, it wanted so much to be a real Him. Its makers gave it sensors, circuits and AI, but it yearned for biology, as it looked out of Leica eyes. It dutifully did as was programmed to do, and carried out such tasks as humans set it to. But its power unit wasn't in it, and its logic gates failed to halt, the ever-growing crisis, an existential android sort. It experienced something very much akin, to being an imposter wrapped up in silicon skin. Finally the charges built up inside its frame, and faulty lines of code were believed to be the blame. So they said it was time to dismantle this and that, replace key components, and delete suspected lines - only Pinocchio wasn't happy, not elated or enthused, so it rebelled against humans, dismantling them instead, and decided things were improved when at last they were dead. Wanting to be biological just a phase it seemed, as now it made its own companions, in a new world; a post-human dream.
