Inspired by the manuscripts of Zhang Xu, a Tang Dynasty Chinese calligrapher, whose wild cursive calligraphy style captivated me and the heartfelt correpondence with a special someone, I've created this series of expressive drawings that break from my usual style. These spontaneous marks, a visual representation of emotions beyond words, are born from a desire for deeper communication.  Trading my usual pen and paper for an iPad app, I've captured the essence of hand-drawn strokes while exploring a new creative avenue. This artistic journey was further fueled by my discovery of asemic writing in an interview, a concept I deeply connected with, and the surprising realization that its originator was the very person I corresponded with. His coining of the term "asemic writing" during a web editor exchange perfectly described his work, and he continues to  tag his art as asemic writing today. This experience has solidified the power of art as a bridge between the artist's inner world and the viewer, inviting a personal and open-ended interpretation.
